Now Hiring - Pipe Laying Instructor

The Laborers Training School is seeking a full-time Instructor with pipe-laying experience to join our team. The responsibilities of an instructor include classroom/theory-based instruction and pipe-laying hands-on instruction for students, as well as the course outline and syllabus. Instructors will assess students to ensure comprehension of course material through evaluations and exit exams. This will require travel to our various training sites and possible training on Saturdays and/or evenings. Instructors always reflect a positive and professional attitude.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of cement mason work experience and construction field experience. A minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience is preferred. Resumes should reflect experience in flow liner work, installation of various types of pipe, installation of various pipe diameters, and knowledge of pipe laying formulas.

CA Teaching Commission must approve a Certificate of Clearance (COC) before hiring.

Pass the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) test before hire.

The candidate should have general knowledge and experience of the position's industry standards.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical agility test designed to simulate job tasks which are predictive of the ability to perform the essential physical tasks of the job.Should be detail-oriented

Physical Requirements: Required to stand, walk, reach, lift, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; able to lift 90-100 pounds of weight for demonstrations.
