1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of www.laborerstrainingschool.com, our online forms, and our text message and email communications (the "Services"). The Services are provided by The Laborers Training and Re-training Trust Fund of Southern California, doing business as the Laborers Training School ("LTS," "we," "us"), 1385 W. Sierra Madre Avenue, Azusa, CA 91702, (626) 610-1700.
By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Use of the website
- Provide accurate, current information on any form or application. Submitting false information may affect your application or enrollment.
- Do not misuse the Services: no unauthorized access, scraping, malware, or interference with site operation.
- Website content, logos, and training materials belong to LTS or its licensors. You may view and print them for personal, non-commercial use related to our programs.
- Submitting a form or application does not guarantee acceptance into any program. Admission is governed by our apprenticeship standards and selection procedures.
3. SMS Messaging Terms
- Program. Laborers Training School Notifications. We send informational and transactional text messages about your application, orientation, classes, schedule changes, campus notices, document requests, and replies to your questions.
- How you opt in. You opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the unchecked SMS consent box on one of our web forms, or by texting START or JOIN to our number. Consent is not a condition of applying, enrolling, or receiving any service.
- Message frequency varies based on your application or enrollment activity.
- Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details.
- Opting out. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Text STOP to our number. After you send STOP, we will send one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. We also honor other reasonable opt-out requests, such as replies of CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, STOPALL, or REVOKE, or a request made by phone or email. To rejoin, text START.
- Help. If you have trouble with the messaging program, reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at (626) 610-1700 or digital@laborerstrainingschool.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Eligibility. You must be the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you provide, and at least 18 years old. We do not send text messages to anyone under 18.
- Privacy. If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
4. Email communications
We send email mainly for transactional purposes related to your application, enrollment, or requests. Any newsletter or announcement email will include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing will not stop required transactional messages.
5. Third-party links and services
The Services link to sites we do not control, such as MyLTS, LTS Online, our webstore, LIUNA, and government agencies. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Services are provided "as is." We try to keep information such as class dates, wages, and requirements accurate, but it may change without notice; confirm details with LTS staff. To the extent permitted by law, LTS and its trustees, staff, and service providers are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Services, or for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, except where federal law governs. We may update these Terms by posting a new version here with a new effective date.
