Named in honor of SCDCL Business Manager Jon P. Preciado, the center reflects his commitment to raising standards and expanding pathways for working families.
Through advanced instruction and hands-on training, apprentices will be prepared to meet the demands of a growing industry, focused on safety, productivity, and excellence. Graduates will join LIUNA Local 1184, strengthening Arizona’s workforce and building careers from day one to retirement with dignity and a union pension.

The Laborers Training & Retraining Trust Fund for Southern California is also known as the Laborers Training School. We provide construction based training services to signatory employers, LIUNA members, 8 LIUNA Local Unions and our Southern CA community at large. The Laborers Training and Retraining Trust of Southern California provides the best model for learning; theory-based learning and practical application. Students are able to apply what they learn in the classroom in real time. Each of our sites accommodate classroom and field training that simulates a job site.
